NASAA Announces 2025 Public Policy Symposium

Association encourages the public to submit comments on tokenization

WASHINGTON, D.C. – (March 17, 2025) The North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) is excited to announce the upcoming 2025 NASAA Public Policy Symposium. This event will bring together industry experts, policymakers, and thought leaders to discuss the most pressing issues in securities regulation. This year’s theme of “Protecting Investors in Tokenized Securities Markets” promises to spur interesting discussions on this timely topic.

The Symposium is scheduled for April 8, 2025, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. Registration is now open. Click here to register.

The symposium will feature a fireside chat focused on legislative hot topics, two panel discussions, and a keynote address. The symposium will explore opportunities and challenges presented by the proliferation of tokenized securities for issuers, underwriters, and regulators alike.. This event will be held in-person and virtually.

In support of the symposium and NASAA’s broader efforts around tokenization, NASAA is inviting the public to provide written submissions to us that can inform our longstanding efforts to protect investors, promote responsible capital formation, and support innovation and inclusion in our capital markets.

“I am so grateful to market participants who have taken the time to inform us of their ongoing efforts to navigate the intersection of evolving technologies and state securities regulation. I encourage the public to share information that will empower us to continue to protect investors as our markets evolve,” said NASAA President and Wisconsin Securities Administrator Leslie Van Buskirk.

Please submit written comments to the NASAA Comments inbox at nasaacomments@nasaa.org, with the subject line: “tokenization.” All comments received in response to this invitation will be posted to NASAA’s website without edit or redaction, though inappropriate comments will not be posted. Accordingly, please do not include any information in your comment that you do not wish to become publicly available. NASAA encourages submissions on or before April 18, 2025.
